Dr. Manny Marks

Dr. Marks passed away on December 14, 2013.

Manny was an Eagle Scout and a lifelong supporter of scouting.  He taught generations of Troop 10 boys how to canoe and led trips on the Delaware River for over 30 years.  He also served as a Committee Member, Chairman of Lower Makefield Citizens for Scouting, and championed our Friends of Scouting campaign.  Most importantly, Manny was a loving husband, father, and a great friend.  He will be greatly missed.

Manny’s family has requested that memorial donations be made to “Troop 10”.  These donations will be used to fund summer camp and other scouting activities for local boys (in Troop 10 and otherwise) who do not have the financial means.  Donations may be made by check to:

Troop Fundraising 2013-14

Troop 10 will not be selling popcorn this year. Instead, our fundraiser will be selling script cards for Giant and McCaffreys. Cards will be available at all Troop meetings. Troop 10 earns 5% of each card sold. Our goal is for each family to purchase at least $1,000 of script per scout during the year (the more the better).

Cards are available for sale at all Troop Meetings. Contact Judith Berger at judithathome@aol.com or (267) 980-8242.

Delaware River Canoe Trip

June 26-29 (Thu-Sun)

Our annual canoe trip along the Upper Delaware River. We will cover about 45 miles of the river from Calicoon, NY to Matamoras, PA over three days.

This trip is not open to 5th grade scouts. 6th grade scouts may attend with their dad (or another dad agrees to canoe with them).

All scouts must have (or be working on) their Canoeing Merit Badge to participate.

Note, we will not meet at the church on Thirsday - scouts needing rides need to arrange them in advance. Do not arrive at the campsite before 5pm.
